Developed by Milton Erickson (1901-1980), this is an approach to change that takes into account our two parts, the conscious, the rational part, and the unconscious, that part “under the tip of the iceberg” that directs our Choices and then our behavior.
Each of these parts has its own specific language, the first one needs precision, while the second likes a language that could be described as “elegantly vague.”
Proper use of these two languages is a determining factor for a more effective change and therefore for a more harmonious and more in line with what the person wants to become.
